Earlier this year I was selected as one of 5 artists from the last 5 decades to participate in the Alumni Excellence Exhibition at Mount Saint Joseph University's Studio San Giuseppi. I drop the work off in about a week and have been getting everything gallery ready, but like most artists also still creating as they contacted me that they have additional room and I can bring more pieces. This is a sampling of what I am taking minus a few that are on the framing table and still packed from their recent trip to galleries in California. Getting the artworks "gallery ready" is the tedious part in which all artists wish they had assistants. I've been building my own frames for a while but have just realized by the time I factor in the cost of wood and labor, I could just order them cradled from the manufacturer and save myself a ton of time. The show opens February 1st and spans that month. I'm going to miss the energy these pieces bring me while working in the studio for the next 2 months.
